Worms Direct UK Vermi Compost Activator (VCA)
A compost activator developed over the last 10 years by Worms Direct UK. 100% organic, contains no added chemicals and has a long shelf life. Can also be used as an additive to lifeless potting composts and can also be sprinkled into planting trenches in vegetable and flower beds. 5 kilos.
General Information:Vermicompost is made up of a mixture of very fine compost not yet digested by worms, together with worm casts. This is then refined to enable it to be used as a compost activator. It is high in microbes (bacteria, fungii etc) and nutrients. These microbes are responsible for breaking down waste into a form that worms can feed on – when added to fresh waste the microbes innoculate the waste to start decomposition – acting as a compost activator so that worms can start to feed on the waste.
