Kenana Knitters Knitted Sheep Tea Cosy – Handmade, Fairly Traded
Hand knitted woolen sheep tea cosy, fairly traded from Kenana Knitters in Kenya, with each piece being signed by the woman who knitted it. Fully washable and easy to care for. As these items are entirely handmade, there will always be variations in sizes and patterns – no two pieces are exactly alike and each piece is unique.
General Information:Kenana Knitters enables rural women from Njoro, Kenya to utilise their spinning and knitting skills to provide a much needed supplemental family income in a mainly male orientated agricultural area. Kenana Knitters place an emphasis on environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable materials and processes – the wool they use is homespun wool produced locally and colours are obtained from dying with traditional plants.
