Holkham Linseed Oil Paint
Made from 100% pure linseed oil and derived from renewable and sustainable resources, these paints contain natural pigments and have no added solvents. Linseed oil paint can be used both outdoors and indoors, on wood and metal. Ideally suited for external windows frames and doors, similar formulations have been tried and tested since the 18th Century. Whilst the subtle colours decorate woodwork beautifully, the linseed oil content gives protection and nourishment to the wood itself. Linseed oil paints are also resistant to cracking and peeling and will last up to three times longer than modern paints, on average lasting 10 – 15 years before requiring re–painting, giving them an economic advantage over the synthetic equivalents. These paints can also be used on metal, following a suitable primer (Holkham Iron Primer is recommended).
