In a Soapnut Shell Soapnut Shell Pieces – Wildcrafted
Soapnuts grow (wild–crafted) on trees in India and Nepal – they are environmentally friendly, sustainably produced, bio–degradable and compostable. Although you may be familiar with the use of soapnuts to clean laundry, they can also be used to make a natural, chemical and fragrance free cleaning liquid that can be used as a handwash or shampoo. The sudsing action of the cleaning liquid is due to the fact that it contains natural saponins from the soapnuts and so provides an excellent alternative to those with very sensitive skins or allergies who wish to avoid soap and soap products. 200g.
General Information:Directions – boil a large handful of soapnut shell pieces in 500 ml of water, simmer for 5 – 10 minutes and strain. Use the resulting liquid in place of handwash or shampoo. The used soapnut shell pieces can be composted.
