Tumbleweed Compost Maker
The tumbling action of the Tumbleweed Compost Maker takes the back breaking work out of composting. Minimal effort is required to keep the decomposition process working. Simply fill the bin with the required materials and tumble every two or three days. Dimenions – 117 cm x 65 cm x 85 cm. Capacity – 220 litres, Weight – 10 kg.
General Information:The type of composting in this system is known as "aerobic". As the waste material starts to decompose, the bugs, bacteria, fungii and other micro life associated with this start to multiply rapidly, feeding on the organic matter. In turn they give off heat and will keep up this process as long as there is oxygen present. Every time you tumble the composter, more air and oxygen are introduced and so the process of decomposition keeps going until you are left with the finished compost – in as little as 4 weeks.
